The 12th edition of The World Games took place in the Chinese city of Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, from 7 to 17 August 2025. Thirty-five sports were part of the Chengdu 2025 programme, with Climbing featured for the sixth consecutive edition of the multi-sport event.

EVENTS

Unlike all previous appearances of Climbing at The World Games, Chengdu 2025 featured only Speed discipline events — two individual events and one relay.

In addition to the traditional two-lane format, Speed 4 made its official debut ten months after its trial run in Madrid, Spain. Speed Relay, which had been included at the two most recent editions of the Asian Games, also featured in the programme.
