World Climbing Councils

World Climbing recognises five Continental Councils – Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and Pan America – which support the development and promotion of climbing within their respective regions.

In accordance with Article 15 of the Statutes, the Continental Councils operate under the full oversight of World Climbing, in compliance with its rules and regulations, and do not function as independent entities. They organise Continental Series and other regional competitions, implement World Climbing sport initiatives at continental level, and report regularly to the Executive Board and the General Assembly. Each Council includes an athlete representative, ensuring that active athletes are represented at regional level and that activities remain aligned with World Climbing’s global strategic objectives.
