General Assembly 2026

The World Climbing General Assembly 2026, the first to be held following the rebranding of the organisation, is set to take place online on 23 April 2026.

In light of the current crisis in West Asia, and following careful consideration by the Executive Board, the format of the 23rd General Assembly has been revised. The meeting will now be held virtually and will be limited to items requiring formal validation under the Statutes.

As a result, the agenda has been streamlined to focus on essential statutory and decision-making topics, ensuring institutional continuity and alignment with legal obligations. Other discussions and in-depth thematic sessions initially planned within the General Assembly framework will instead be deferred to the Climbing Summit later in the year.
