Protecting the Integrity of Climbing

Integrity is at the heart of World Climbing and is essential to ensuring that our sport remains fair, transparent, and trustworthy. We are committed to protecting competitions, athletes, officials, and all members of the Climbing community from corruption, competition manipulation, unethical conduct, and other behaviours that may undermine the values of sport.

Our approach combines education, prevention, and, where necessary, investigation. Working closely with National Federations, event organisers, athletes, technical officials, and specialist partners, World Climbing promotes a culture in which integrity is everyone’s responsibility.

Reporting a Concern

Anyone who becomes aware of conduct that may threaten the integrity of Climbing is encouraged to report it. This includes concerns relating to competition manipulation, betting-related corruption, bribery, fraud, conflicts of interest, or any other behaviour that may compromise the fairness or reputation of World Climbing competitions and activities.

The reporting hotline is available to athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, organisers, National Federations, and members of the public who wish to report concerns such as competition manipulation, betting-related corruption, bribery, fraud, conflicts of interest, or other conduct that may compromise the integrity of Climbing.
