The ninth edition of The World Games was held in Cali, the capital of the Valle del Cauca department, and the most populous city in southwest Colombia, from 25 July to 4 August 2013. Cali 2013 was the first edition of The World Games to be held in South America, with a sports programme that featured 32 official sports and four invitational sports, with a total of 171 medal events.

Two out of three Climbing disciplines – Lead and Speed – were featured in the programme, with competitions scheduled on 3 and 4 August.
